An exhilarating performance of Andalusian and Arabic music by the Andalus Arabic Choir and their oriental ensemble promises to take you on a magical journey East to Andalusia. You will get to truly immerse yourself in the spirit of "One thousand and one nights". Conducted by Soprano, Ghada Daher-Elmowy, and starring Sydney's finest and most talented musicians: Noel Elmowy musical director (piano), Adnan Baraky (oud), Mohamed Lelo (qanun), Michel Kharrat (violin), Stuart Vandegraaff (nay, clarinet, sax), Christopher Soulos (bass), Adem Yilmaz (tabla), James Tawadros (req/maktoum) and Philip Elmowy (drum kit) Aman's captivating rhythms and exotic airs transport you to a dream of a midsummer night! Our concert is an exciting blend of favourite songs and nostalgic tunes, it includes a broad repertoire in various genres and dialects from Andalusia to the Middle-East crossing North-Africa. The Andalus Arabic Choir aims to promote Arabic and Andalusian music and culture. Our objectives are to reflect it at its best, and interact with our audience in the same way music interacts with our heart and soul.
